Dec 27, 2008 Full Version Launched

As you can see Jayne Wisener Fan no longer requires the services of the infamously red temp. version. The site is now online with a beautiful new theme (thanks to the lovely and very talented Mandy over at AM2M Designs). And there’s much more content to be explored. I still have to add the Domain and WWW sections, though. You can look forward to those following tomorrow.

I don’t know if any of you were able to listen to the interview Jayne recently gave on the Alan Simpson Show. I posted a link to their online player- and the thing really worked. I was able to record her interview. So if you want to know what Muppet character Jayne would be, you can now head on over to our audio vault and download the whole thing (I cut it into five parts).

Be sure to let me know what you think of the new version in the comments section.

Dec 22, 2008 A Look Ahead: 2009

I have some more great news: Jayne will be on Alan Simpson’s radio show talking about her favorite Christmas songs and what’s to come for her in 09. The show will air on BBC Radio Ulster at 3pm on Tuesday, December 23.
I will try to get a clip of the interview for you. And I think you might be able to listen in live by clicking on this link.

Jayne has recently recorded Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas” to raise money for local charity Cancer Lifeline. Jayne is joined by a host of the province’s celebrities - including Lynda Bryans and Ralph McLean - on the recording which was produced by DJ Mickey Modelle at his Bangor studio.

It’s been a busy time for Jayne as she has just finished filming an episode of Channel Five’s remake of the classic TV series Minder which stars Shane Ritchie.

“It comes out at the end of January and I’m in Episode Four so that should be out around February,” said Jayne. “Shane Ritchie was hilarious and really lovely too. I play a Northern Irish character in the show, so you won’t miss me,” joked Jayne.

At the moment Jayne is living outside London and attending regular castings. A few months ago she landed a role in the television series Minder, which will be shown early next year, and has also made a guest appearance in a music video.

“I’ve just done a music video. It’s for a band called Archive. They’re not well known here but they are big in Europe, I’m told.”

Dec 22, 2008 Great News: Updates

When this site first opened the version you’re seeing right now was supposed to only stay online temporarily. But as you all know time dragged on and we’re still stuck with this temp. version. But I can now tell you that the full version of Jayne Wisener Fan might be launched as early as tomorrow.

New pictures of Jayne attending the Go Belfast Awards 2008 about a month ago have been added to the gallery. Unfortunately I was only able to find three of them. I would greatly appreciate it, if anyone could send in some more.
Since there’s a lack of pictures I thought I’d provide you with a little information from the evening instead:

“And you never know what goss you pick up in the ladies loos - when we heard the voice of an angel coming from one pint sized singer - we thought perhaps it was the super-cute Niamh Perry but it was the enchanting Jayne Wisener - who was singing whimsically to herself while she was waiting on her mum. Never one to miss a story - we found out she’ll be performing in the West End soon but we reckon an appearance at the Grand Opera House or the Waterfront Hall would have her fans out in droves.” [SOURCE]

Aug 15, 2008 Listen to Jayne in “Parade”

I just uploaded two songs Jayne sang in the musical “Parade” to YouTube. If you like what you hear, you can buy the whole soundtrack from or just download single files from 7Digital like me.

Here’s a little bit about the story. Jayne played Mary.

“Two local children, Frankie Epps and Mary Phagan talk. Frankie wants Mary to go to the picture show with him, but Mary playfully resists, insisting her mother won’t let her. Mary leaves to collect her pay from the pencil factory managed by Frank.

Frank’s wife Lucille bemoans the state of their marriage, believing herself unappreciated by a man so wrapped up in his work and himself. Mary Phagan is found raped and murdered in the basement of the factory and the local police immediately turn to Newt Lee, an African-American night watchman also working at the factory.”

Jun 20, 2008 Possibly A New Project For Jayne

The IESB has a scoop on the new adaptation of the ‘60s supernatural series, “Dark Shadows,” which is in development in development at Johnny Depp’s Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King’s GK Films along with Warner Bros.

Says the article, “While no director, writer or cast has yet been announced, the film is based on over 1,225 episodes of the television series dating from 1966 to 1971. Dark Shadows was a highly atmospheric, spooky soap that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.

This weekend, the IESB exclusively learned the names of the people set to bring this project to life.

While interviewing Get Samrt director Peter Segal this past weekend in Beverly Hills, he spoke briefly about writer John August. Segal says August, who is writing Billy Batson and the Legend Of Shazam for Segal over at WB, is jumping back and forth between Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS and his Shazam script trying to work on both films at the same time due to a back log of work after the writers’ strike earlier this year.

So, while we can’t confirm the rumors of Depp starring as Barnabus Collins in DARK SHADOWS, the IESB has confirmed that TIM BURTON is attached to direct and JOHN AUGUST has been brought in to write the adaptation for the film.”

When we first heard about this project, Burton was naturally the first person on everyone’s mind as the perfect choice of director for a movie of this nature. And, if true, this film has now leaped to the forefront of our radar for next year’s event, must-see films. Sweeney Todd’s Jayne Wisener would be perfect for Victoria Collins. All we need now is the some sort of formal announcement from Warners, as well as Helena Bonham Carter and Danny Elfman involvement, and we’ll be in business. [SOURCE]
