I just uploaded two songs Jayne sang in the musical “Parade” to YouTube. If you like what you hear, you can buy the whole soundtrack from or just download single files from 7Digital like me.

Here’s a little bit about the story. Jayne played Mary.

“Two local children, Frankie Epps and Mary Phagan talk. Frankie wants Mary to go to the picture show with him, but Mary playfully resists, insisting her mother won’t let her. Mary leaves to collect her pay from the pencil factory managed by Frank.

Frank’s wife Lucille bemoans the state of their marriage, believing herself unappreciated by a man so wrapped up in his work and himself. Mary Phagan is found raped and murdered in the basement of the factory and the local police immediately turn to Newt Lee, an African-American night watchman also working at the factory.”

Thanks a lot to Mandy for pointing me towards this really interesting video. This is a small documentary about being an actor and being part of a play without having much prior experience. Jayne is featured in it, too. You an see her at about 6:30.

Director Gary Jones is in post-production on the direct-to-DVD sequel Boogeyman 3. Brian Sieve penned the script which follows a college who, upon watching the suspicious suicide of her pal, believes the Boogeyman is lurking on her campus.

Former Power Ranger Erin Cahill (Jekyll) plays the leading lady, Sarah Morris. She’s joined by Sweeney Todd’s Jayne Wisener, Kate Maberly (The Langoliers), Mimi Michaels (Shark Swarm), and Matt Rippy (Day of the Dead).

Jones also helmed Spiders and Crocodile 2: Death Swamp. Boogeyman 3 is expected to street in 2009. [SOURCE]

The IESB has a scoop on the new adaptation of the ‘60s supernatural series, “Dark Shadows,” which is in development in development at Johnny Depp’s Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King’s GK Films along with Warner Bros.

Says the article, “While no director, writer or cast has yet been announced, the film is based on over 1,225 episodes of the television series dating from 1966 to 1971. Dark Shadows was a highly atmospheric, spooky soap that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.

This weekend, the IESB exclusively learned the names of the people set to bring this project to life.

While interviewing Get Samrt director Peter Segal this past weekend in Beverly Hills, he spoke briefly about writer John August. Segal says August, who is writing Billy Batson and the Legend Of Shazam for Segal over at WB, is jumping back and forth between Tim Burton’s DARK SHADOWS and his Shazam script trying to work on both films at the same time due to a back log of work after the writers’ strike earlier this year.

So, while we can’t confirm the rumors of Depp starring as Barnabus Collins in DARK SHADOWS, the IESB has confirmed that TIM BURTON is attached to direct and JOHN AUGUST has been brought in to write the adaptation for the film.”

When we first heard about this project, Burton was naturally the first person on everyone’s mind as the perfect choice of director for a movie of this nature. And, if true, this film has now leaped to the forefront of our radar for next year’s event, must-see films. Sweeney Todd’s Jayne Wisener would be perfect for Victoria Collins. All we need now is the some sort of formal announcement from Warners, as well as Helena Bonham Carter and Danny Elfman involvement, and we’ll be in business. [SOURCE]

If you like this piece of his work, you will probably also like his drawing of other celebrities. You can view his portfolio here.

If you have any drawing, icons or any other kind of fan art do not hesitate to send it in. Just write me an email and I will find a place for your work.

I just found a really interesting article about Jane. It’s full of interesting trivia and quotes. For instance: did you know that her last name is Dutch? If you haven’t read it yet you should definitely take the time now. Click on the link to read the whole thing.

It’s Dutch, originally,” says Jayne Wisener, when I inquire about her surname, “and you’ve spelled it wrong.” I had added an extra ‘e’, and the keen-eyed young actress had spotted the error by reading my page of scribbled questions upside down, from across the table.
